“Jaclyn, why do Koreans have such great skin - what’s the secret?"

This is the question that all of my friends have asked me. The answer isn’t just the skincare products we use - a big part of it is our diet. Kimchi, which is a staple in Korean cuisine, is rich in Pre and Probiotics as well as Vitamin C. Eating Kimchi daily helps maintain a healthy gut that leads to healthier and more radiant skin.

So when I created Jhin's Bitters, I made sure to include these beneficial ingredients. And in order to further promote skin rejuvenation and radiance, I also added two powerful antioxidants (grape seed extract and green tea antioxidants) along with collagen.

"What inspired you to create Jhin's Bitters?"

I stopped drinking in 2016 for health reasons, so I wanted a healthy, low-calorie, and delicious non-alcoholic spirit, but couldn't find anything that I liked. That is until I discovered bitters and soda, which I loved, but most bitters on the market contained alcohol. After researching the ingredients in bitters, I realized they were similar to traditional medicinal herbal roots used in Asian cultures for centuries! So I decided to incorporate these healthy roots into an alcohol-free bitters with some other healthy Asian influenced ingredients. After two years of collaboration with a food scientist and nutritionist, Jhin's Bitters was born.

"What is your preferred way of consuming Bitters?"

Personally, I enjoy taking my daily dose of Bitters directly into my mouth every morning for its digestive benefits. Plus, since the base is apple cider vinegar, it can also aid in regulating blood sugar. It has a delicious taste - the flavor reminds me of root beer and maple syrup. And in the evenings, I like to mix it with sparkling water for a tasty mocktail. I take it daily and have noticed amazing improvements in my skin. As a mother in her 50s with two sons in their late 20s, I’m often mistaken for being much younger - but it just goes to show how effective Jhin's Bitters truly is. Give it a try. Here's a toast to a healthier you!
